About

The program is designed to recognize those individuals who have demonstrated excellence in sport, innovation, culture, art and leadership in community-building endeavors. Nominations are open to the public, and all members of the Chelsea community are encouraged to participate by putting forth nominations.

The 2025 nominations will open May 1 and will be accepted until June 15th.

Join us for the Chelsea Foundation Wall of Fame Induction event

    To honour, preserve and celebrate Chelsea’s sports and leisure, arts and culture as well as community building and leadership excellence.

  • Mission

    To celebrate our community and its uniqueness both in terms of exceptional individual, team and/or group achievements in sports and leisure, arts and cultural activities and the strength and quality of the volunteer and professional sectors that sustain and shape our community.

  • Values

    Upholding the principles of excellence, community, diversity, equity, inclusion and inspiration through sports and leisure, arts and culture as well as community building and leadership pursuits.

Objectives

  • To strengthen the social fabric of our community by bringing people and their neighbours together to celebrate where they live and thus contributing to community building.

  • To recognize the accomplishments of Chelsea’s most distinguished individuals, teams and/or groups such as athletes, coaches, officials, administrators, artists and community builders and leaders.

  • To inspire and encourage the youth of Chelsea to pursue athletic excellence through recognition of these athletic achievers.

  • To celebrate artists and groups that have excelled in their field.

  • To recognize individuals and groups that have successfully advocated for the arts at the municipal, provincial or national level.

  • To recognize the significant contributions of individuals and groups as community builders and leaders.

  • To recognize the significant and extraordinary accomplishments of local individuals, teams and groups in any other fields not specifically identified herein.

Chelsea Foundation Wall of Fame

Inductees

These individuals have demonstrated excellence in sport, innovation, art, culture and leadership in community development projects. They will have their names inscribed on the Chelsea Wall of Fame, a permanent exhibit at the Meredith Center that will serve as a reminder of their exceptional contributions and achievements in the region.
