The program is designed to recognize those individuals who have demonstrated excellence in sport, innovation, culture and leadership in community-building endeavors Nominations are open to the public, and all members of the Chelsea community are encouraged to participate by putting forth nominations.

12 Individuals to be Inducted to the Chelsea Wall of Fame on October 26th 

The Chelsea Foundation is pleased to announce the list of 12 individuals elected for induction into the Chelsea Wall of Fame.  The program is designed to recognize those individuals who have demonstrated excellence in sport, arts and culture, and leadership in community-building endeavors.  The induction ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, October 26th at the Meredith Centre. 

The nomination period ran from June 1st-30th. A distinguished panel of community leaders and experts carefully reviewed the nominations and selected the 2024 inductees. These individuals will have their names enshrined on the Chelsea Wall of Fame, a permanent display at the Meredith Centre that will serve as a reminder of their exceptional contributions and achievements.

Objectives

  • To recognize the accomplishments of Chelsea’s most distinguished athletes, coaches, officials, administrators, teams and community builders.

  • To strengthen the social fabric of our community by bringing people and their neighbors together to celebrate where they live and thus contributing to community building.

  • To recognize attained excellence and athletic achievement by Chelsea athletes, athletic teams and builders at the national and international level of competition.

  • To stimulate awareness and pride of the role Chelsea’s athletes have had on the national and international sporting scene.

  • To create a tangible, permanent and historic collage of significant sporting accomplishments by residents of Chelsea.

  • To induce and encourage the youth of Chelsea to pursue athletic excellence through recognition of these athletic achievers.

  • To recognize the significant contributions of individuals as community builders.

Chelsea Wall of Fame

Inductees

These individuals have demonstrated excellence in sport, innovation and leadership in community development projects. They will have their names inscribed on the Chelsea Wall of Fame, a permanent exhibit at the Meredith Center that will serve as a reminder of their exceptional contributions and achievements in the region.
