Chelsea Foundation Annual General Meeting 2025
May 27, 2025 – 7:00pm, Meredith Centre
You are cordially invited to the Chelsea Foundation AGM for 2025. The foundation is a non-profit charitable organization whose principal purpose is to promote sporting, recreational and socio-cultural activities in the municipality of Chelsea. One way to promote these activities is through the operation and management of the Meredith Centre and associated lands.
You will hear about the projects of the foundation and what is happening at the Meredith Centre. Snacks and refreshments will be served..

Become a member of our board of directors
We're looking for engaged community members who are passionate about promoting sports, recreation, and cultural initiatives in Chelsea. Interested? Contact us at info@chelseafoundation.ca by May 6 to learn more. A nominations committee will review all applications and present a proposed slate to the membership for approval at the AGM. Please note: nominations will not be accepted from the floor at the meeting.
About Board Involvement
The Board of the Chelsea Foundation is committed to advancing a vibrant, healthy, and inclusive community — working closely with the Municipality of Chelsea.
Skills required:
Teamwork and collaboration
Basic business acumen
Communication skills
Financial knowledge
Strategic thinking
Specific expertise in the following areas would be an asset:
Marketing
Financial management / accounting
Law / notary
Architecture / landscaping
What's expected of board members:
Attend 10 board meetings per year (in-person or via Zoom)
Join at least one committee and contribute actively
Be prepared in advance for meetings
Support oversight of finances and fiduciary responsibilities
Represent the Foundation and support its goals and advocacy positions
